All-in-one Collaboration, Game Development and Distribution Platform
ABOUT the fortune engine
The Fortune Engine is an emerging SaaS platform built specifically for the iGaming industry by game developers. It empowers studios of all sizes to create innovative gambling content through a library of ready-to-use slot and burst style game templates.
At the core of the platform is a suite of powerful math solving tools that allow creators to design, balance, and validate game math in ways that were never possible before. Behind the engine is a dedicated team of game developers, continually pushing the limits of engine to build new game templates that challenge what gambling games can be.
The Fortune Engine also provides end-to-end distribution, supporting studios not only in building progressive games, but also in certifying, releasing, and delivering them to market.
A culture built on collaboration at its core, the Fortune Engine enables solo creators and indie studios to partner with like minded developers, agree on revenue shares, and build content together. Whether you’re crafting your first game or looking to develop gambling games outside of slots, the Fortune Engine is waiting for you.
Our Creators
-
The Fortune Engine is built for creators, developers, and innovators who want to create online gambling games and distribute them on leading online casinos globally. Whether you’re an indie creator or bespoke team, the platform is designed to make game creation more accessible and collaborative.
-
While traditional slot machines are supported, The Fortune Engine is designed to go beyond that. You can build physics-driven mechanics, also known as ‘Burst Game’s, opening up game development to entirely new forms of gambling content.
-
Game Templates are game frameworks built by The Fortune Engine team available for you to use as a kick off point when creating your own content.
Templates include Pachinko, Drop Mechanics and Slot Machines.
Our team of dedicated game developers are always building new templates for use. This drives us to achieving our goal of achieving true innovation in online gambling.
-
It depends on your project scope. The Fortune Engine math solving tool can generate solutions in real time, so in some cases (depending on your skill level) you could complete a game in just weeks. However, like anything, there is a learning curve, and most new creators will need 2-3 months to become comfortable with the software and produce their first complete game ready for distribution on an online casino.
-
Not necessarily. The platform was created with a vision of being as accessible as possible. We wouldn’t go as far to say we are ‘no code’, but we are a ‘low code’ option. Our primary objective is to handle the complex math solving components of game creation, meaning you can focus on game concept, art, music, sound, mechanics etc. When you join the Fortune Engine, you are also welcomed to a community of likeminded creators including artists, musicians and other creative individuals. The Fortune Engine is an ecosystem, not just a platform that solves problems.
-
The game database is the primary output of The Fortune Engine platform. This game database is Intellectual Property (IP), which is owned by The Fortune Engine, and licensed to you for use and distribution. We create the game database for you and handle its transfer to the casino RGS on your behalf.
-
The Fortune Engine allows for indie creators, and companies to formally agree on revenue share splits, or fixed payment arrangements with other collaborators in the platform. The Fortune Engine provides a standard legal agreement that creators use to agree to compensation for numerous creators or businesses working together to develop a gambling game.
For example, you may be a game creator looking to partner with a front-end developer and artist. Between yourself, and the other 2 creators, you agree to share any revenue generated by the game in 3rds.
-
Accessing the Fortune Engine platform itself is free. However, the primary output, the ‘game database’, is Intellectual Property (IP) owned by The Fortune Engine, which is licensed to the creator/s for use via approved distribution networks (casinos). The license fee to commercialise the game database IP ranges between 10% - 15% of GGR, per game.
Think of The Fortune Engine tools as your very own experienced iGaming mathematician. We aim to keep our IP license costs as low as possible to incentivise creators.
-
Games created in the Fortune Engine and distributed through partners like Stake.com and Stake.us generate revenue based on player activity. As the game’s creator (or team), you’ll receive your agreed revenue share or project-based payment directly from The Fortune Engine finance team. Depending on the casino, you may be paid in crypto currency or a fiat currency. The Fortune Engine will distribute your compensation via the method in which it is received.
-
At present, The Fortune Engine is integrated with the Stake Engine, which enables distribution on Stake.com and Stake.us.
We’re actively working on expanding distribution globally, including into regulatory markets. However, regulated markets come with additional compliance steps and requirements. If you’re an indie developer just starting out, we recommend beginning your journey via crypto casinos, where the regulatory processes and costs are more accessible to those starting out.
-
No. Games created with The Fortune Engine can only be distributed through the Fortune Engine’s official distribution channels. The Intellectual Property (IP) (also known as the ‘game database’) generated by the Fortune Engine is owned, managed and licensed by The Fortune Engine at all times. Creators cannot take the raw IP outside of the platform. Not to worry, we are actively increasing our distribution network to allow creators to optimise revenue generation across the iGaming sector.

Meet the Team

Gray Wagner - CEO
I’ve worked in gambling since my uni days, undertaking an internship as a mathematician building land based “pokies” as we call them down under. Later, I moved to London and properly discovered the online iGaming scene. I enjoy solving problems, and I’ve been lucky to work with some incredible global studios and operators along the way.
I’ve always believed gambling games could be more than slots, more like the flash games we grew up with — fun, creative, physics based, and full of personality. But to build those kinds of games, you need a powerful math engine behind the scenes.
That idea eventually became The Fortune Engine.

Aberdeen Hinze - COO
I stumbled into iGaming in 2020 and was lucky enough to join a studio / aggregator in a growth period. Before long, I found myself in the depths of overseeing an ISO 27001 implementation so they could launch into new markets.
I’ve loved the industry ever since.
Today, I play a commercial and strategic role at The Fortune Engine — shaping our long term vision, working closely with the emerging game studios we onboard, and supporting them as they create awesome new games that break the mould.
I am the main point of contact for both our creators, partners and operators.
